Autologous Fat Transfer (AFT) is a procedure that involves taking fat from one area of a client's body, where it is plentiful, and transferring it to another area to add volume. This can be an excellent way to replace lost fullness.

Dr. Edwin Ishoo's Natural Breast Augmentation technique employs the latest technological advances and the AFT technique to provide women the option of enlarging and contouring their breasts using their own fat tissue. The result is enlarged breasts that offer a natural appearance and the enlargement and shape desired without the risk of implants.

Dr. Ishoo utilizes the VASER® system to gently obtain adequate volumes of your own natural fat. In many cases this is done in conjunction with a breast enhancement to remove fatty tissue from unwanted areas, and move it to areas where more volume is desirable. This fat is then injected in the breast resulting in a natural enlargement of 150cc to 300cc, or approximately one to two bra cup sizes. During the procedure the injection is done in multiple layers alongside existing tissue to not only add volume but ensure a natural shape and contour to the enlarged areas.

Risks

The overall procedure is well tolerated and for most clients results in about two days (48 hours) of downtime. Although this is a relatively straightforward surgical procedure it is still surgery, so there are risks associated with surgery and specific complications associated with this procedure. While only a small percentage of women actually experience these complications, it is important for you to understand the risks and consequences of a breast augmentation procedure. Dr. Ishoo will discuss specific information regarding these risks with you during the consultation.
